Violinist Johanna Novom has been Associate Concertmaster of Apollo’s Fire since the completion of her Master’s degree at Oberlin Conservatory. A first prize winner of the ABS’ International Young Artists Competition, she also appears with period ensembles such as the American Bach Soloists, the Trinity Wall Street Baroque Orchestra, Chatham Baroque, Harmonious Blacksmith, and Orfeo 55 in Paris. Festival engagements include the Boston Early Music Festival and the Carmel Bach Festival. Performing takes Johanna to concert halls throughout Europe and North America, recently Alice Tully, Wigmore, and Carnegie’s Weill Recital halls. Johanna was a 2010–11 fellowship member of the Yale Baroque Ensemble, and is a founding member of the Diderot String Quartet on period instruments, based in New York City.
